Welcome, to the things that keep me focused.

When I get bored, I eat. I wish it were more complicated than that, but generally speaking that's the case. So I try to keep myself occupied, and today's Sunday afternoon projects were spent on my patio. I'd been saving plastic bottles and containers for the past few weeks, not realizing how many bottles and containers my roommate and I use. I wasn't sure exactly what I was going to do with them. Over the past year I've become uncharacteristically environmentally conscious.

Some blog hopping tossed me around the interweb and an earth science conference later I was suddenly considering how far my food travels, possible ways to reuse plastic containers, and even beginning to understand what it is those hippie self-composting "fools" might actually be thinking. With education comes understanding right? So here we have it, I re-used and made cheap planters. The cous-cous container now cradles English Sage and the once Root Beer bottle now babies some French Thyme. And let's not forget the Orange Juice bottle, which is personally my favorite because of the bright orange colors look good on my patio.

I also got inspired by Florida's heat to install a clothesline. I know, crazy! But it turns out Home Depot has them for super cheap. They're easy to install, just a few screws here and you're done!
